Behind the Scenes Battle in Son Jung Min Investigation

With no explanation for the Han River Case of 22-year-old medical student Son Jung Min, the police have announced that it is forming a special "accidental death investigation committee" to determine whether to wrap up the case or extend it for another 30 days. The same committee was first formed to investigate the body of the de facto owner of the Sewol Ferry, but many citizens also had doubts about the process and results of that committee back in 2014 over the suspicious size of the body, its state and the location of where it was found. Three subsequent uses of the committee in the past three years have all recommended investigations wrap up with no further analysis needed.

Son Jung Min's father has repeatedly appealed to the public for a more thorough analysis to be conducted to bring complete closure to his son's case. However, it remains to be seen whether the public will easily accept the committee's decision. Plus, hear from one of our subscribers from India.
